Ours runs in one order. A look at your scalp under magnification, a slow double cleanse, then the halo rinse — a brass arc above the basin that pours dozens of fine warm water threads over your scalp for several minutes. Steam and LED light while the treatment sits. Then a pressure-point massage through the scalp, neck and shoulders. Sixty minutes is $120, ninety is $150. Most people stop talking somewhere around the halo and do not start again until the end.

Come as you are. There is no gown, no robe and no changing room — you lie back with your head at the basin and a towel across your shoulders, so your face and clothes stay dry. Only your hair gets wet, and it is blow-dried before you leave.

It is blow-dried at the end, so you leave dry and able to go straight back to your day. It is not a blow-out and we do not style it — expect clean, dry hair rather than a finished look. If you have somewhere to be afterwards, book the 60-minute and allow a few extra minutes.

No, and we would rather say that before you book than after. The Zen Scalp Ritual is a deep cleansing and circulation treatment. It removes buildup and most people find their hair feels noticeably better, but it is not a therapy for thinning, shedding or pattern hair loss. If that is your actual concern, see a dermatologist — that is a medical conversation, not a spa menu.

$120 for 60 minutes and $150 for 90 minutes at Optimal Wellness, inside The Shops at Wiregrass. Enhancements are optional and priced separately, from $20 to $45 each. Nothing is added to your session that you did not choose and see the price of first.

No. The Zen Scalp Ritual is at Wesley Chapel only — 28329 Paseo Drive, Unit 170, inside The Shops at Wiregrass. The Tampa studio on W Laurel St runs by appointment for IV therapy, injections and weight-loss consults, and has no head spa room.

This is the one service we ask you to reserve, and the one with its own days. The ritual runs Friday, Sunday and Monday only — one scalp therapist performs it and those are the days she is in — and the room takes one guest at a time for a full hour, so it is booked and paid in advance. There is no schedule you need to be on. Most regulars land somewhere between once a month and once a quarter, and plenty of people come once because someone gave them a gift card and never come back — that is a perfectly good outcome too. Nobody here will sell you a package at the end of your session.
